Accessibility Statement
Our approach to making this website usable by as many people as possible, what we've built in so far, and how to tell us when we fall short.
1. Our Commitment
UIT Software wants this website to be usable by the widest possible range of visitors, including people who navigate with a keyboard, use a screen reader or other assistive technology, or have visual, motor, or cognitive differences that affect how they browse the web.
We design this site with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, as our target and design reference. This is a statement of intent and an ongoing engineering practice, not a claim of formal accessibility certification or third-party audit. Accessibility conformance for a site of any complexity is an ongoing effort, and we treat it as a continuous improvement process rather than a status we declare complete.
2. Measures We've Implemented
Concretely, on this website we have built in:
- Semantic HTML structure — proper headings, landmarks, and document outline — so assistive technology can navigate the page logically.
- A "Skip to content" link at the top of every page, letting keyboard users bypass repeated navigation and jump directly to the main content.
- Keyboard-navigable menus and interactive elements, so the site can be used without a mouse or touch input.
- Visible focus states on interactive elements, so keyboard users can see where focus currently is.
- Descriptive alt text on meaningful images and icons that convey information, with decorative graphics marked so they are skipped by screen readers.
- Respect for the operating system's "reduce motion" preference, so animations and transitions are minimized for visitors who have that setting enabled.
- Labeled, associated form fields on our contact and inquiry forms, so screen reader users understand what each field expects.
- Color and contrast choices in our visual design that target sufficient contrast between text and background.
3. Ongoing Work
Accessibility is not a one-time project for us — it's a standing part of how we build and maintain this site. As we add new pages, components, or product content, we review them against the same principles above, and we revisit older pages as issues are identified. We do not consider this work finished, and we do not represent any part of this website as certified or independently audited for accessibility conformance.
4. Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some content or interactions on this site may not yet fully meet every WCAG 2.2 AA success criterion — for example, third-party embedded content, complex diagrams, or newly added pages that haven't yet been reviewed. Where we're aware of a specific limitation, we work to address it; where we're not yet aware of one, please tell us using the contact method below.
5. Reporting an Accessibility Barrier
If you encounter a barrier using this website, we want to know about it. Please email us with:
- A description of the issue you encountered.
- The page or URL where it occurred.
- The browser and, if applicable, the assistive technology (screen reader, switch device, voice control, etc.) you were using.
Contact us at info@uitsoftware.com. We will acknowledge your report and work to address genuine accessibility barriers on this website in a reasonable timeframe.
